Privacy
What we collect, why we hold it, and who else touches it. Same plain language as the terms.
Card numbers never reach us
Payment details go directly to Stripe. Fund The Club never receives, stores, or logs a card number. We hold a Stripe reference to the payment, nothing more.
Club bank details are the same. A club connects its account through Stripe Express onboarding. Stripe collects the bank and identity information and verifies it. We see whether the account is ready to receive money, not the account itself.
What we collect from bidders
Your email address, the name you give, the bids you place, and any logo file you upload for printing. We keep bid history because it is the record of what you agreed to pay.
Bidders sign in with a link sent to their email. We do not ask for or store a password.
What we collect from clubs
Club contact details, the kit listing you write, the photos you upload, and the delivery proof and receipts you submit. Proof documents are reviewed by our staff and retained as the record that a payout was justified.
What we collect from staff
Fund The Club staff sign in with Google. We receive the email address, name, and profile picture on that Google account. We request no other Google data and can read nothing else in a Google account.
Who else processes your data
We use a small number of vendors, each for one job:
- Stripe — payments, holds, payouts, and identity checks for clubs
- Vercel — hosting, and storage for uploaded logos and proof images
- Neon — the database
- Resend — sending the emails described below
- Google — staff sign-in only
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising.
Email we send
Email is transactional. Sign-in links, outbid notices, hold notices, results, logo decisions, proof decisions and deadlines, and payout confirmations. These are part of the auction working, so there is no unsubscribe for them. We do not run a marketing list.
How long we keep it
Auction and payment records are kept as long as we may need them for accounting, tax, and dispute resolution. Uploaded logos and proof images are kept for the life of the listing record.
Asking us to delete something
Email hello@fundtheclub.com and we will remove what we can. We cannot delete records of completed payments, because we are the merchant of record and are required to keep them.
Children
Kits are often made for youth teams, but accounts here are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Bidders and club contacts must be 18 or older.
